Because the demand for the limited skins are so high, putting them up for sale again would probably bring in a huge profit and be more beneficial than not. Go for it!
That said, in order to be safe and avoid any complaints from customers who bought the ltd. editions and feel jipped, selling them for a different color is a really great idea. The colors of the limited editions skins are definitely desirable, and so selling them in a different color wouldn't strip current customers of the chance to get the skin, while at the same time reserving the original colors for those who bought it previously.
